For the past three years, she has worked as a school counselor at the middle school level.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her parents. Her dad has a wood fired pizza truck that keeps him busy and many weekends she ends up assisting. Tabitha grew up in Eleva, Wisconsin, but currently lives in Eau Claire with her boyfriend and cat. She graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Family Studies and Sociology. Tabitha is currently attending UW-Stout for her masters in School Psychology.
Being able to help students, and their families, within schools is one reason she loves the field of school psychology.
Tabitha has four siblings and grew up with a multitude of animals. She always had cats, dogs, birds, fish, and the occasional turtle growing up. Having so many animals while growing up kept her active and entertained. Her hobbies include reading, taking care of many plants (or buying more), going on walks, and spending time with family and friends. While she describes herself as “not good at cooking,” she thrives to try her best in the kitchen and some day make an edible meal for my friends and family to enjoy.

Tim prior to becoming a mentor spent the majority of the last 20 years in allied health and education. Being a mentor combines his passion for promoting autonomous advocacy and agency for all with the ability to help create direct, positive change in one person’s life. Tim enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults equally.
He is curious, patient, and celebrates adventure. Empathy is his strongest trait and finds himself as fortunate to personally connect to others experiencing a wide array of shared or similar life events: alcohol and other drug abuse in the home, physical and emotional abuse, poverty and homelessness, coping with grief and loss, and mental health (particularly related to military service). Regardless of his personal familiarity, Tim recognizes that any experience is unique to the individual and does his best to find and promote the coping mechanisms and strategies that work best for people to achieve their goals.
Some of Tim’s many interests, centered around the arts, include: astronomy, botany, computer science (hardware, software development, 3D modeling, A.I.), cooking, film, fishing, football, geology, kayaking, music appreciation and production, photography, table top games (Dungeons and Dragons, Catan), volunteering at a local animal shelter, and woodworking. Tim owns “too many” Nike shoes, and will “undoubtedly buy more.”
